Expression. Creation. Passion. Innovation. Birth. All these play a big part in what I do. Especially the act of Birth. I seek to make things come alive by telling stories the best way I know how. By sharing life with other travelers on the journey through the simple medium of a pen. It is quite humbling and exciting to depend upon a writing utensil to help change the world and minds. I am one of the ones that believe it can.

My Space
Phoenix is the mythical bird of rebirth. This is why I call what I do Phoenix. It is about seeing the world anew, for the first time again and again.
I have this space that I go to where I find myself. It tends to be covered in this old-style archaic moss and trees and once in while there are some loud noises coming from the locals and some of their friends. The outdoors are sort of a home for me. I find inspiration, a new name for myself, and even at times and unexpected safe haven. I write there too. I give my heart
over to my pen and let it compose story after story of the journey I am partaking in.
I have been writing for over 5 years now. I don’t write because it something to do, I write because I am good at it and I love it. I write because inside of me there is something or someone who is trying to get out, some may say its my dad or mom or God or the universe speaking through me, all I know is that I don’t know what it would be like not to write. And, I don’t want to.

Story
We all write stories. Our pens are our lives and we compose narratives for others to be a part of and take part in. Story is essential to our being.
Writing is a passion central to who I am as a person. It is not only a tool for self-expression but also an art. It is the art of invitation. Inviting others
into stories of others and the world around us. Inviting others to believe, to be persuaded, change themselves and the world around them. Writing
is an integral part of my life.
I have been writing for over the last 5 years through the medium of email articles with a spiritual bend. I have published works of poetry online. I still continue to write. I am currently working on a book that directly deals with church and the challenges of being relational and less organizational and meeting the needs of the world, a sort of call toward social justice as a way of life. It’s called Jesus Bootlegged. I have written articles for other sites including a site for U2 and local organizations. I am passionate and always willing to learn more.
My passion is to share story through word. Is to stretch myself beyond just focusing on spiritual matters. I want to focus on things like social justice and world change. I want to present both sides of a story as well as advocate for the oppressed peoples throughout the world. To be words for those who are silenced.
